Fat Flush Diet – WYE

The Fat Flush diet is a 3-phase diet that centers around eating the right kinds of fats, carbs, and proteins without eliminating them altogether. It is similar to many other low-carb plans in that it completely eliminates carbs and dairy for a few weeks, then gradually adds the “right ones” back in.

What Is the Fat Flush Diet?
The Fat Flush diet believes that weight gain and the inability to lose weight centers around five main principles:

Liver. According to the creator of the Fat Flush diet, many people have toxic livers. The first part of the diet works to detoxify the liver, making it a healthier fat-burning machine.
Waterlogged tissues. This results in bloating, water retention, and water weight gain.
Fear of eating fat. Not all fat is bad for you , and Fat Flush dieters learn that eating the right fats can actually help you lose weight.
Excess insulin. This too leads to weight gain. The Fat Flush diet claims to help regulate insulin
Stress fat. Excess stress leads to overeating and “stress fat.”
What Do You Eat on the Fat Flush Diet?
The Fat Flush diet is comprised of three stages, each of which differs in regards to what you can and can’t eat.
All three phases include the “right” proteins such as lean meat, eggs and fish; certain carbs such as fruits and vegetables; omega-3-rich fats such as flaxseed and evening primrose oil; spices such as ginger, cayenne, and cinnamon; and “The Long Life Cocktail” – a staple in the diet and a mixture of cranberry juice, psyllium seed or flaxseed, and H20.
Phase 1 – The two-week Fat Flush. This is considered the most difficult part of the diet. During the first phase, dieters consume no more than 1,200 calories. Foods are limited as the liver is cleansed. During this portion of the diet, you will not be eating any trans fats, caffeine, diet sodas or regular sodas, alcohol, aspartame, sugar, yeast-related vinegars (except apple cider vinegar), any grains or cereals, starchy vegetables, and all dairy products.

Phase 2 – This is the ongoing Fat Flush portion of the diet that is designed for weight loss. The same restrictions as listed above also apply, although this time approved grains are added in one at a time to see how the body responds. In addition, two dairy products can be added back in at this time as well.

? Phase 3 – During the lifestyle phase, dieters are supposed to eat the following per day
o Two eggs per day (Omega-3-added eggs are recommended)
o At least 8 ounces of lean protein -chicken, meat or fish.
o Unlimited allowed vegetables – raw or steamed.
o Two fruits per day.
o Cranberry water – 4 ounces diluted cranberry juice in 32 ounces of water; drink this instead of water.
o Long-life cocktail – This combination of 1 teaspoon of psyllium or 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseeds in the cranberry water is supposed to be drunk first thing in the morning and before going to bed.
o 1 tablespoon twice daily of flaxseed oil.
o Hot water with lemon to start the day, and before meals.
o 1 cup of organic coffee if desired
o Spices such as cayenne, ginger and cinnamon, believed by the diet’s author to boost metabolism.

In addition, there are certain “rules” to follow that can be difficult to keep straight; for example, no fruits and vegetables together, no drinking milk with a meal that includes meat, and no drinking water while eating.
