The enzyme diet is a real replacement shake that claims to have all the necessary ingredients in it for one meal. It is supposed to be wonderful for your body.
The people who made this drink claim that it has essential minerals, amino acids, enzymes, carbohydrates, protein, fatty acids, fiber, phytonutrients and naturally occurring vitamins. They say it is ephedra free, caffeine free, stimulant free, lactose free, cholesterol free and saturated fats free.
This sounds like a miracle drink. You get all that in just one drink and you do not have to eat a meal. Plus, you shed your extra pounds.
But the weight loss probably doesn’t come because of all the wonderful things in the drink. If you are losing weight on this drink it is probably because you are taking in so few calories each day.
If you are drinking this drink twice a day that would be somewhere around three-hundred calories . . . for two meals! Then you have one other meal where you can have whatever you would like. Well no wonder you are losing weight, you have more than halved your caloric intake.
This may not be the healthiest way to lose weight. Yes the drink is supposed to have wonderful stuff in it, but it still will not have essential vitamins and minerals that your body needs in order to function properly.
Besides that, what will you do when you get hungry. If this is all you are having for two meals a day, you probably won’t get filled up. If you start to get hungry, it could lead to eating to fill you up and you could eat more than is healthy rather than less than is healthy.
Also, if you are feeling hunger pains more often than you did before you started the diet, that means your body is not obtaining the necessary nutrients it needs to make it run. That is why it signals to you to eat more. It wants to get what it needs.
For health this diet should receive a six. Yes the drink has some wonderful stuff in it, but not enough to fulfill your body’s needs and it doesn’t have all the essential stuff in it.
For speed this diet should probably receive an eight. If you drop your calorie intake all of a sudden like that, you will begin to lose weight pretty quickly. If you are eating very little calories like you would be in this diet, just your normal activities would be enough to burn them off.
For ease of implementation this should get a seven. It probably wouldn’t be too hard to start. It would be a little difficult because you are used to eating meals during those times and not a drink but if the drink doesn’t taste bad, it probably wouldn’t be more than a little difficult.
For ease of adherence it should receive a five. This diet would be very difficult to stick to. Especially if you are only eating one meal a day. That would be very tough. It would be hard not to give into cravings and eat in between. Yes, it would probably be very difficult.
For family friendly this should receive a four. It is not very family friendly at all. If you have children, you will still need to be feeding them three meals a day. The drink would definitely not give them the nutrients they need to grow.
If you are making meals each day for your family, but only drinking a drink yourself, that would be very hard to stick to.
For the busy lifestyle this should get a five. It would be difficult for a person who is busy to make this shake twice a day. Unless they could figure out a way to pre-make it or to make it very simply, it might be hard to work out.
