The name blue chip comes from the blue chip in poker, the blue chip being the most valuable of all chips. The best explanation of blue chip stocks are stocks that come from companies that are high quality, well known and carry extended records of earnings and dividends. These company’s are managed with great success and continue to show strong performance.

Generally, these stocks are the choice of the investors who are seeking long-term growth and satisfaction.

Blue chip stocks are often seen as less volatile investments
