The mayo clinic diet is focused on grapefruit. They believe that grapefruit will go in your body and lose weight. However, this diet is just a fad diet that will make you lose weight yes; quickly yes; but it will come back once you stop doing the diet.
But that is alright I guess if you do not mind just having grapefruits. And other foods of course. Hopefully you like the taste of grapefruits.
Because this diet seems too good to be true, it probably is to good to be true. Since you lose so much weight so quickly, it is probably not healthy and it is probably not fat pounds that you are losing. It is probably water weight.
There are a lot of fruits on this earth and it is crazy that someone could take one and say that it is the magic cure to weigh loss. And when someone is put there, someone is meant. This diet was made up by someone and it was not the famous mayo clinic. Whoever made it up has a lot of time on their hands.
Grapefruits do not have any special ingredients in them that you cannot get from other foods. The diet probably only makes you lose weight because it is so low in calories. This just means that you could remove grapefruit and substitute if for something else that is low in calories and have your own famous diet on your hands.
When it comes to health the mayo clinic diet gets a four. Though it has healthy stuff, it does not provide you with a well balanced diet. It doesn’t provide you with all the nutrients you need. The weight you lose is unhealthy weight and you can know this because losing weight healthily takes hard work.
For speed this diet gets an eight. It claims that you will lose a lot of weight and you will lose it fast. Who care how it gets done. The weight is gone. That must be worth it to a lot of people. Who cares about health or anything else. The major trend all over the place right now is to lose weight. Not to be healthy.
For ease of implementation this diet gets a five. It has meals plans and such all set up for you, but it would still be hard to switch over from what you are used to, to something that you have to look up in order to know what to eat. It would be hard to stick to all the guidelines and such that you are provided with.
For ease of adherence this diet gets a seven. Once you get used to it, it probably will not be too bad, but it still might be hard that each meal for twelve days in a row is the exactly the same as the meal you had twenty-four hours ago.
For long term potential this diet gets a three. The weight loss it not fat pounds which means it is probably water pounds. Once you stop doing the diet, you will most likely gain all your weight back.
For family friendly it gets a four. It would be hard to be on this diet as well as take care of a family. You can’t just give your kids grapefruits every meal and you especially can’t give them grapefruits if they do not like them. The diet is definitely not family friendly.
This diet gets a three for the busy lifestyle. Someone who is very busy would have a hard time following a meal plan. They would probably get frustrated and give up before the end. They are required to eat certain amounts and certain foods and it would just be tough for someone who didn’t have the time to pay attention to all that stuff.
