Rice Diet: What you can eat

When you are on the rice diet you stay in a clinic and you are supervised by medical people. These people will watch you and help you along in the process.

The diet has a very narrow selection of foods to eat. This diet has a very narrow selection of foods to eat. This diet has a very narrow selection of foods to eat. Wait, did you catch that.

Just kidding, it is not that bad but it is pretty darn narrow. During the first phase that you spend at the clinic the only items on your menu will be fruits and vegetables. They tell you not to try it at home. It is important to have a medical person helping you.

There are rice diets you can find online that are simple and basically follow the diet that would be in the clinic. One diet goes through three phases, unlike the two you would go through at the clinic.

In phase one you do not eat much. It is the detox phase and lasts for one week. This diet consists of two different menus: the first day’s menu, and the menu for the rest of the week.

On the first day you have two starches and two fruits for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Each meal you choose two vegetables and two starches.

For all the other days you have one starch, one non-fat dairy and one fruit to start out the day. At lunch you have three starches, three vegetables and three fruits. Then to end your day you eat the same thing you had for lunch: three starches, three vegetables and three fruits.

This will go on for one week and then you head to phase two. Phase two is the lasting weight loss phase. It lasts until you lose all your weight. In this phase you have a basic rice diet one day a week, a lacto-vegetarian rice diet five days a week, and a vegetarian plus rice diet one day a week.

The basic rice diet is like this: for breakfast you eat two starches and two fruits. You also eat two starches and two fruits for each other meal that day, lunch and dinner.

The lacto-vegetarian rice diet is like this: Breakfast consists of one starch, one non-fat dairy and one fruit. Lunch consists of three starches, three veggies and one fruit. So does dinner.

The vegetarian plus rice diet is like this: Breakfast you have two starches and one fruit. Lunch you have three starches, three veggies and one fruit. To finish it off at dinner you have three starch, three protein, three veggie and one fruit.

The last phase of the diet is the maintenance phase. You do almost all the same things. For the first day of the week you do the basic rice diet that you did in phase one and two.

For four days of the week you do the lacto-vegetarian and rice diet that you did in phase two. For the last two days of the week you do the vegetarian plus rice diet that you did in phase two.

This diet sounds pretty boring but it is supposed to work. If you can use self-discipline and stick to it may or may not help you. The way they do it at the clinic may or may not be the same as this, but the difference is they have people there to watch you and help you and guide you along in the diet.

At the clinic they also have an exercise program and well as a counseling session. The clinic is probably a better choice but if you do not have the money, you could try it at home.
