However, not every business is now offering employee wellness programs. Even if the business you work for, has not seen the benefits of offering a employee wellness program, there are still things that anyone can do to exercise and gain some benefits while they are at work. Keep in mind that many of these options will not be a full substitution, for a work out, but they can help you focus your fitness goals and get moving onto the path of health. There are several different things that you can do to help you stay fit at work. – Get up and move-One of the simplest things that you can do is just get up and move. This is especially important if you work at a desk or other workspace. You want to set a alarm to remind you to get up and move. Even if you just stand by your desk and a some stretches it will help to make you feel better.
– Forget the elevator-Take the stairs no matter what where you going, what you are doing or how much you have to carry.
– Get a pedometer-These handy gadgets can help you to determine how much you are moving. Best of all pedometers are affordable and easy to use. These little fitness tools can help you track of how much you are moving. Your goal should be to get a minimum of 7-10 thousands steps every day.
– Bring your food from home-While you may think that this has nothing to do with fitness, if you are not eating well, you are less likely to lose weight and get fit. Best of all if you bring your lunch to work, you can walk to a park or other location to enjoy your lunch outdoors.
– Go mobile-Go really mobile and have all your calls come on a head set. That way you are not tied to your phone. You can get up and move around while you take your calls.
