If you are not working to find ways to improve the health of your employees, you could be causing them to struggle with productivity and other important things. You need to invest in your employees health and one way to do this is by getting rid of soda and caffeine and providing clean drinking water to your staff. Water helps to hydrate the body and it does get rid of headaches by flushing the toxins out of the body.

Many employees that struggle with stress in the workplace often turn to caffeine and soda to calm their nerves but they don’t realize that drinking these unhealthy things actually leads to increased stress, anxiety, irritability, and many other health issues. When you have headaches you actually need to try drinking a quart of water as this will flush all the toxins out of the body and provide your body with healthier fluids to drink. Most of us do not realize that our bodies actually stay hydrated from the fluids that are in your gut. You need to make sure your gut is filled with clean fluids versus toxins.

By offering water coolers in the office, you will encourage employees to reduce their dependency upon soda and caffeine and to start drinking water. Water is much healthier and does promote health and brings about higher levels of productivity in the office.

Employees will drink whatever is available in the office and what they can get their hands on. When they are unable to have access to water, they will fill up on whatever they can find which usually happens to be less healthy options like soda and coffee. Caffeine and sugary drinks are not only unhealthy for your body; they cause your body to be sluggish. They also cause employees to have dramatic drops in their energy levels as they are coming off the sugar rush from the drinks. The crash they can have will cause them to be lethargic and not as in tune with the needs of the company and are vulnerable to a number of issues like workplace accidents and reduced productivity.

If an employee is sick or lethargic in the workplace, they cost your company money. Since approximately two-thirds of the body is made up of water, you need to make sure your employees are getting plenty of hydration. One way to do this is to have a cooler or fridge with bottled water and walk around about every 2-3 hours and offer new water bottles to your employees. You want to do what you can to encourage your employees to drink water and many of the employees may not even realize that you offer free water. By taking the time to pass out water toyour staff, they will see that you are concerned about their health and you are trying to find ways to help them stay hydrated.

When you drink water, your brain is more alert and your bodies will have more energy. Employees will also see an improvement in their digestive system when they are drinking plenty of water and keeping their bodies hydrated. The rule of thumb is if you feel thirsty, you are already dehydrated. This means you need to hurry and drink as much water as you can to rehydrate your body and then focus on getting plenty of water into the body after this point. Not only will you notice an improvement with your mental awareness and digestion, water helps to improve the skin texture of your body and can soothe aches and pains in the joints.
