For diabetics, their diet is very important because if they eat wrong it would mean more then gaining weight. It would aggravate their condition and could have harmful effects. So for a diabetic it is very important that they follow a diet and keep their blood sugar level stable.

Some tips for a diabetic diet from the American Diabetic Association are to, one: increase your intake of starches. Two: Eat five fruits and vegetables each day. Three: Eat sugars and sweets in moderation.

Another tip for diabetic patients is to eat more soluble fibers. These fibers will slow down the process of glucose absorbing from the intestines. Insoluble fibers will clean it out and make it easier for the glucose to absorb.

An important tip for diabetics is to get to and maintain a healthier weight. If their weight is stable, it will help their blood sugar levels to remain stable. Extra fat makes it hard for the body to produce and use insulin.

It is also very important that diabetics do not eat too much sugar, fat and carbohydrates. It is important that they eat all these things in moderation. These foods do not need to be eliminated but they do need to be limited.

For health this diet is a ten. It is not just a fad diet. It is a diet that really affects people’s health and helps people to live better and longer. For people with diabetes, this diet is critical and means a lot. So, for it not to receive a ten would be silly.

For ease of implementation, this diet should get a six. It would be very hard to go from eating normally to having to count carbohydrates and moderate many things that you eat. It would be difficult to change and have to be so exact, kind of, in your diet plans.

For ease of adherence this diet gets a seven. It would be hard to stick to. Always worrying about what to eat and how much of it to eat and such would be a burden. But it still gets a seven because knowing that a major part of your health depended on how well you did this diet would help very much to get you to stick to it.

For long term potential this diet receives a nine. In the long run it will mean a whole lot to your health whether or not you do this diet. If you go about eating what you want and never worrying about your diabetes you will have a terrible time in the long run.

But if you control it, then later in life it will be a lot easier not only to maintain the dietbut also your health would be a whole lot better than it would be if you did not do the diet.
For the busy lifestyle this diet gets a five. For someone who is very busy, this diet would be very difficult to work with. You would always need to be so aware and so picky about what you ate. This would be tough if you did not have the time to be that aware and that picky. For the person with a busy lifestyle, it would be hard on them to have diabetes not only because of the disease but because of the diet.

As for family friendly this diet gets a four. It would be extremely tough to do this diet while feeding and taking care of a family. It would be tough to have to be so picky and aware about all the food that is in the house. It would be hard to resist the urge to eat food that you know you should not eat.
