10 Tips to be More Fit This Month:

There are many people that want to diet and want to exercise but they think it will be too hard and they lack the drive to get up and do it. But rather than just continuing to do what you are doing and continuing to think about the exercise and dieting you should be doing, here are ten easy tips to help you get on the right track and start thinking differently this month:

Tip One: Simply move around more. Do not sit too much. Get up and take a quick walk if you are doing something that requires a lot of sitting. You can also do something such as get up and do ten jumping jacks every thirty minutes.

The point is to just start getting your body a little more active. Instead of taking the elevator, walk up the stairs. There are many simple things you can do every day that will help you to move around more and help your body to begin getting more active.

Tip Two: As often as possible, choose a carrot instead of candy. This does not necessarily have to be a carrot and some candy. The point is to just to make healthier choices in the simple things. If you would like a snack and you have the munchies, look for a piece of fruit or a vegetable.

These will help your body get the nutrients it needs and it is just a small thing. Simply choose something good to eat instead of something that has little nutritional value and do it eighty percent of the time. You do not have to do it every time, but if you do it most of the time, you will become much healthier and your body will begin to grow stronger.

Tip Three: Rather than going to eat out a lot, make a well-balanced meal. Eating out is not always bad, but the food is not as healthy as food you could make yourself. If you enjoy eating out, this does not mean to eliminate that completely. Just stay home and make yourself a healthier meal rather than eat out every night.

Tip Four: As much as you can, carry things. This may sound odd but it is true. If you are at the store and you do not need much, carry a basket instead of roll a cart. Carry your groceries out to the car. Carry heavy things around the house for yourself and do not always weight until someone stronger is around to do it. As often as possible, simply pick things up and carry them rather then choosing an option that is easier, but not as good for your fitness.

Tip Five: Whenever possible, walk instead of drive. If you are running a quick errand and it is close, if you are not short on time, walk there instead of drive. This would work wonders for your system. People drive a lot today because it is so easy, but it you were just to walk, it would turn out to be much more enjoyable and besides helping you become fit, you would not feel as rushed all the time. You could just relax a little.

Tip Six: This kind of goes along with the last tip but it is this, when you go to the store, park far away from the entrance. As you are probably going to the store a lot, this would be huge! Parking far away from the entrance would allow you to get all that extra walking in and it would help you to get even more fit.

Tip Seven: Each day if you have any empty spaces, even just ten minutes, take those ten minutes and do some type of physical activity. You could run up and down the stairs, run down the street and back, do some sit-ups and push-ups. Just take ten minutes to relax and let go of some of the built up stress inside of you.

Tip Eight: Eat treats. This may sound odd but it is true. It does not mean to eat treats all the time. Still make healthy choices and eat healthy foods at least eighty percent of the time. But for the other twenty percent it will not hurt you to have a bowl of your favorite ice cream or eat a brownie. If you eat treats in this way it will help you enjoy them more because you are not just eating them all the time. You are eating them as a special and fun treat rather than a snack whenever you are bored.

Tip Nine: Plan fun activities that are fun while also physical. This could be something like sports. It is fun and at the same time it allows you to get in some exercise. You could do something like rake up all the leaves with your children and then play in them. Simple and fun activities like this would help you be physically fit and would not seem like exercise because they are fun.

Tip Ten: Finally, do not eat more than can fit in your stomach. Take smaller servings and only eat until you are pleasantly full. Do not eat until you fill sick. If you really enjoy the food, save some left-overs for another meal.

If you combine eating less with all these physical activities, you will become fit a lot faster. It is not hard to make simple choices like this and they can help you get fit without worrying about a strict diet or a hard exercise plan.
